CBDCE Logo Usage Rules
In addition to using CDCES behind your name on stationery, business cards and the like, you may also use the CDCES Marks in the following ways:
- Displaying the CDCES certificate
- Wearing the official CDCES pin
- Displaying the CDCES logo on promotional materials such as business stationery, brochures, and flyers
Permission to use the CDCES Marks may be terminated by the Certification Board for Diabetes Care and Education at any time pursuant to CBDCE policies and procedures. In no event may you use any of the CDCES Marks after your certification has expired. CBDCE specifically reserves the right to amend its policies with respect to the usage of the CDCES Marks at any time, provided that it will take reasonable steps to notify you of any policy changes.
There are prohibited uses of the CDCES designation and the CDCES Marks which include but are not limited to the following:
- Communicating to others in any way that you have the right or authority to provide diabetes education or other services beyond the limitations set forth in the applicable practice act of your profession.
- Promotion or endorsement of commercial products and services other than your personal diabetes education services.
