CBDCE Ambassadors

The CBDCE Ambassador Program is a volunteer initiative launched by CBDCE in 2024 with the dedicated efforts of the Outreach Candidates Workgroup members to facilitate communication and promote awareness of the diabetes care and education profession and the Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) credential. The program will reach various audiences in different settings: healthcare networks, industry associations, universities, student groups/chapters, and the diabetes community.

Meet the Current CBDCE Ambassadors

The participating ambassadors are working to promote the value of CDCES certification and the importance of credentialing in the diabetes care and education profession. Thank you for your dedication and commitment to support our mission!

Role and Responsibilities of a CBDCE Ambassador:

Ambassadors will represent CBDCE at various professional events (in-person OR virtual) to encourage the path of the Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES). They will be required to give at least two presentations per year. Ambassadors provide a standardized 15–30-minute presentation (provided by CBDCE) and must be available to answer questions about certification and CBDCE. The presentations can be conducted in person or virtually and will be coordinated by the Ambassador. The Ambassador will seek out the presentation opportunities. CBDCE’s standardized presentation will include the value of CDCES certification, why certification is obtained, eligibility requirements, and testimonials from CDCESs. The tools available for Ambassadors include notes to assist in delivering the CBDCE message and access to brochures, tip sheets, and FAQs.

Who is Eligible to be a CBDCE Ambassador?

•                Current CDCES in good standing
•              Interest in promoting certification
•              Willingness to network and to serve in a volunteer capacity
